Method of use
Always test on an inconspicuous area before attempting to treat the whole article as some leathers can have surface "effects" lightly applied over the main colour coating. These are sometimes very easily removed.
Shake the container before use as mixture can separate slightly on standing
Using a light (preferably white) cloth pad, wetted with the fluid mixture apply to the contaminated surface using a gentle rubbing action, constantly turning and examining the cloth and looking for dye transferred back to the pad.
If the surface coating of the leather starts to become "Sticky" or a dragging sensations is felt or some of the original coatng is seen to be transferring to the cloth STOP! Allow that area to "rest" and revert to its normal feel.
Repeat the operation as many times as required until all staining has been removed. Lighter stained areas will obviously need fewer or less vigorous cleaning action than will the heavier contaminated areas,
When the desired reduction of the dye contamination has been achieved, clean the area with Mild leather cleaner to neutralise any residue of the dye transfer remover, wipe dry and apply water top coat to replace the lost protective layer followed by 1 or 2 coats of NEUTRAL LEATHER CREAM, allow to dry and buff with a soft cloth or duster.
WARNING
Sometimes the dye contamination is so deep or pronounced that the removal of some of the original colour coating is unavoidable. It is recommended therefore that customers should be advised that in some cases re-colouring or renovation of the area may required.
Always use in a well ventilated area. Always wear skin and eye protection
